Well, here we are again. . .the part where I try to give you a couple of prop bets to put your money down on in an attempt to bolster your gambling payroll a bit, courtesy of what our friends at the FanDuel Sportsbook have put down for potential bets on this weekend’s Minnesota Vikings game. And, man, last week I was so close to having a winning week. Of course, my “gimme” pick of Justin Jefferson going over his receiving yardage total flopped because, man, this offense is just. . .bleh. And with
my parlay pick, I had the “under” and the Vikings -6.5, so naturally the Vikings won by. . .6.
But I totally called Jauan Jennings having a reception, and I told you that he might even have two, and he absolutely did. Man, I should probably get double credit for that. Alas, I do not.

So, without any further ado, let’s get to our bets for this week, shall we?
Kyler Murray Passing Yards: Under 224.5 (-114)
Yes, going into this week, the Lions have allowed the most passing yards and the most passing touchdowns in the National Football League. And yet, I’m taking the under here. Why? Because until Kyler Murray can prove he’s actually gotten any of this figured out, there’s no reason for me to take the over. He had 150 yards last week at home against an Indianapolis defense that also isn’t any good, and now he’s going on the road against a division rival in what’s likely going to be a raucous environment. I don’t like his chances here. I would also love. . .love. . .to be proven wrong.
Andrew Van Ginkel to record a sack (+112)
Dallas Turner has gotten a lot of the attention for the Vikings’ pass rush this year, and with good reason. But Van Ginkel is quietly having another very good season for the purple as well. The odds are that the Lions are going to end up any extra help they keep in towards Turner’s side, Van Ginkel is going to have some opportunities in this one, and hopefully he’ll be able to take advantage of them.
Vikings to have 7+ kicking points (-170)
Well, if the Vikings are going to continue to struggle on offense, I can’t really use Jefferson’s receiving yardage. . .or anyone else’s yardage. . .as a “gimme” bet anymore. So, I’ll just go ahead and use the one guy that’s still as close to a cheat code as the Vikings have, and that’s Will Reichard. I’ve gone to the well on this bet before, and Reichard rewarded me with 15 points and a Special Teams Player of the Week Award. Maybe we’ll get a similar performance this week. Quite frankly, we may need one.
Those are the three prop bets I’ve got my eye on this week, folks. Are there any particular wagers that you’ll be taking in this one?
