Running back Darius Taylor announced Friday through the NIL collective Dinkytown Athletes that he will return to Minnesota next season for his final year of eligibility.
The announcement is part of Cub
Foods’ contribution to Dinkytown Athletes.
When healthy, Taylor is one of the best running backs in the Big Ten. He missed three games this season due to injury and was limited in two others, finishing the year with 670 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Taylor’s best — and healthiest — season in maroon and gold remains his sophomore year in which he rushed for 986 yards and 10 touchdowns, and caught 54 passes for 350 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
It was also reported on Thursday that rush end Karter Menz has signed his NIL contract and revenue-sharing agreement for next year, signaling his return to Minnesota. He had a breakout year as a redshirt sophomore, racking up 32 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and four quarterback hurries.
More announcements are expected in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned.
