Earlier this season, CeeDee Lamb climbed the Dallas Cowboys record book. After the first week of the season Lamb passed Dez Bryant on the franchise’s all-time receiving list. Given that Lamb has yet to play 100 career games, it was highly impressive.
Lamb has another member of Club 88 in his sights, though. In fact, he has the original member in his sights, Drew Pearson.
Lamb needs 98 yards to pass Drew Pearson on the team’s all-time receiving list. It is obviously a matter of when and not if this
is going to happen. It could happen on Sunday, for all we know.
Lamb has a little bit more of a ways to go to pass the next person on the list in Tony Hill. He currently needs 264 to pass Hill, and when he does he will sit third all-time in franchise history in receiving yards.
Both of these figure to happen this season given the math involved. If Lamb wants to pass Michael Irvin and/or Jason Witten, then he is going to need to continue this level of production with the Cowboys for the next handful of years at the very least. That is a conversation for a different day, though.
Do you think CeeDee will get it done against Houston? Or will it require another game or more?
