Blake Corum had a fine game for the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, and fumble aside, so did Kyren Williams. There is the notion that Corum will get more work for the Rams, and he could take over as the RB1, but before Corum is anointed, he has to actually become the RB1.
Corum seems to have the talent, he appears to be learning Sean McVay’s playbook and Corum has shown a willingness to block as hard as he’ll run. But, to be the Rams RB1, you have to be consistent. Can Corum handle the true workload as the featured
running back for L.A.? Can Corum stay healthy? Can Corum stay productive? We don’t know that, yet.
We know Williams can handle it. Fumbles aside, he’s been amazing for the Rams as a fifth-round pick who plays like one of the best running backs in the league, and has been one of the most productive.
The future for Corum looks bright, but for now, he’s not the RB1. That’s seems like it’s Williams’ job to keep, or lose.
Rams Week 7 snap counts: Corum’s role grows, WR2 still unclear (ramswire)
“Kyren Williams still played more snaps than Corum, but just barely. He had 37 plays compared to 32 for Corum, and five of those snaps were on the final drive when the Rams were just milking the clock. Corum’s 32 snaps were a season-high and his 44% snap share was his second-highest.”

Rams Player Grades: Running Game Leads the Way in Week 7 Win Over Raiders (si.com)
“Running Backs: A-
The engine of the Rams’ offense on Sunday against the Raiders was the running game. They rushed 33 times for 192 yards and had a touchdown. Blake Corum and Kyren Williams became the first Rams running back duo since Marshall Faulk and Trung Candidate in 2001 to each have 90 rushing yards in the same game. Williams did have a fumble, which continues to be an issue. However, outside of the fumble, Williams and Corum were fantastic.
- Blake Corum PFF Grade: 83.6
- Kyren Williams PFF Grade: 70.4
Wide Receivers: B
There continues to be a significant drop-off at wide receiver behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. With Adams out, Konata Mumpfield and Tutu Atwell rotated as the second wide receiver. Mumpfield had one catch for 15 yards while Atwell had nothing. If the Rams make a trade at the deadline, it needs to be for a wide receiver. “
Rams RB duo passes legend Marshall Faulk’s 25-year-old record (sports.yahoo)
“Williams, 26, led the way as the starter, recording 99 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Corum, 25, complemented him with an equally impressive performance, finishing with 93 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
Their combined production gave the Rams a balanced rushing attack that helped them pull away from Las Vegas and secure an important victory.
The achievement recalls the days when Faulk was one of the NFL’s most dynamic offensive weapons. During his time with the Rams, Faulk established himself as a central figure in the franchise’s success, making the comparison particularly notable for the current backfield duo.“
Puka Nacua cracks top 10 of Rams’ all-time receiving list in just 49 games (ramswire)
“If Nacua adds another 722 yards this season, he will finish the year ranked seventh all-time, eclipsing Hall of Famer Tom Fears for the spot. Despite his incredible output, Nacua has only played in 49 games for the Rams so far, but his averages of 7.3 receptions per game and 95.4 yards per game lead the franchise by a significant margin.
Cooper Kupp is ranked second for receptions per game with 6.1, while Torry Holt averaged 80.1 yards per contest.“
Rams Captain Quentin Lake Says Your Body Is Your Résumé (sports.yahoo)
“”Your body is your résumé, and your best ability is availability,” Lake says.
He admits he did not fully understand that principle when he entered the league. Now he treats recovery as an investment in his career. His routine can include massage, chiropractic work, acupuncture, compression boots, and individualized strength work designed to address differences in mobility and strength between each side of his body.
“You have to reinvest the money that you make into yourself so that you can put your best product out there,” Lake says.“
Davis Allen showed he can do more than block in Rams’ win over Raiders (ramblinfan)
“There seems to be another consistent theme running throughout the Rams roster. LA has accumulated talented players whose greatest challenge is getting enough work in to make a difference. Allen is one such example.
Now in Year 4, Allen has been targeted a mere 71 times, catching 50 passes for 425 yards and six touchdowns. That’s a catch rate of over 70 percent. And yet, he has only been targeted 14 times this season.
Over the course of his career, he has only cracked 100 receiving yards once in a season. with his two-score performance in Week 7, he now has two seasons with multiple touchdowns.“

Rams Deliver Myles Garrett Update as Roster Decision Looms (heavy.com)
“The Los Angeles Rams are uncertain about Myles Garrett’s immediate future. The same is true of second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson, according to Rams head coach Sean McVay during his day-after press conference.
“I’m not sure yet. Have not decided on those things,” McVay told reporters on October 26 when asked about opening their 21-day practice windows from IR, per the LA Times’ Gary Klein.“
Comment of the day:
“Yes, he had a pretty good, not great, rookie season. However, in 2025, Thomas missed three regular season games, he was targeted 91 times, caught 48 for 707 yards and two touchdowns. That’s a 52.7% reception rate, no bueno, to say the least. So far, in 2026, he has caught 9 passes out of 19 targets, less than 50%, he has 105 yards, and 1 touchdown. Trevor Lawrence is just not throwing him the ball any longer, and we can see the reason why. Hard pass for me, and no way is he worth a 2nd round pick. If we could get him for a 5th or 6th I might, and I do mean might, consider it.” -BradleyS
