It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means… time for the blog that gives you the internet’s most ridiculous college football preview series- it’s #FakeNunes time. Can we keep finding ways to get #jokesandgarbage into a Syracuse Orange preview? You be the judge….
Now onto this week’s opponent
Opponent: Clemson Tigers
Location: Clemson, SC
Students: 29,077 students who can’t tell you what’s on their mind for fear of expulsion
The 2025 Fake Nunes Statistical Index (#FNSI)
We continue to look to innovate
our analytics model so we here’s what the lab cooked up for this season.
Rivalry Trophy
The FNSI staff won’t give up on their quest to bring back more tradition into today’s college game. Let’s see what they’ve got for this one
The BYOG DART Belt
Both coaches provide great acronyms so let’s combine them and award the Bring Your Own Guts Detail Accountability Relentlessness Toughness belt to the winner.
Jersey Boys
Fran Brown wants to reclaim the Garden State so let’s see how the Orange stack up against each opponent.
The Orange have 17 players from Jersey on this year’s squad and Clemson has no one.
Advantage: Syracuse
Notable Alum
Bringing back this one as we love to drop, some knowledge every now and then to help our loyal readers possibly win a trivia night. After all we are the Syracuse blog that loves you back and we take that seriously.
Joe Girard vs Joe Girard
The Glens Falls native played four seasons with the Orange, advancing to the NCAA Tournament once where Syracuse made the Sweet 16. He then played one season with the Tigers making it to the Elite Eight.
Advantage: Clemson
Punter vs Punter
Jackson Smith is a 6’5” punter who won the job this year. He said it was either punting or trade school and here at TNIAAM we respect the trades.
Advantage: Syracuse
Orangeawatha Miron Court Special Menu Item
Thanks to Orangeawatha we now that the Miron Victory Court will have a specialty item for each opponent this year. Even though it’s a road game we suggest a peach cobbler ice cream for the battle of the orange-clad programs.
Fran Brown Hat Tracker
Fran gave us this Otto last Friday night. It’s a new one for him and honestly it’s a sweet lid.

The Official #FakeNunes Game Prediction
Neither offense can get on track as Clemson hounds Steve Angeli while Cade Klubnik can’t connect even with lots of time to survey the field. The Tigers benefit from a questionable personal foul call while facing a 3rd and 11 and they march for a final minute score. Dabo shocks everyone by going for two and the win and the Tigers convert when a deflected pass is corralled by Ian Schieffelin before it hits the ground. Even with no hoops eligibility left, Schieffelin’s rebounding kills the Cuse.
Final Score: Clemson 18, Syracuse 17
