Happy Sunday, Pounders. I’m just gonna drop this and leave it for all to enjoy.
The Spurs are still the Spurs. The team known for signing and drafting guys who are “over themselves” continue to build an off court culture of respect and admiration. They look for ways outside of basketball to stay inspired and grounded.
Spurs legendary coach Gregg Popovich may have retired from the sideline, but his imprint is still fresh on a team. A team currently rostered
with back-to-back rookies of the year, one poised to be the face of the NBA, a pair of promising draftees, past draft picks who’ve transitioned with the Spurs into this new era, and some experienced free agents with locker room presence.
It’s not going to be an easy season, but these guys are putting in the work necessary to collaborate and push for the long haul.
