El Hijo del Vikingo suffered an apparent injury during an episode of Lucha Libre AAA on Saturday night in Querétaro, Mexico.
Facing Mini Vikingo, the two luchadores struggled to find their footing on the top rope late in the match. As Vikingo attempted to lift Mini’s leg, they began to tumble. Vikingo turned the move into a ura nage, but came up clutching his right arm upon landing.
He kept his arm tight to his body through the finish, where Mini won after outside interference from El Hijo de Dr. Wagner
Jr. After the pin, the referee checked on Vikingo before medical staff assisted the former AAA Mega Champion as he rolled out of the ring.
Vikingo has not provided a specific medical update, but a post on his Instagram story on Sunday showed his arm in a sling and medical staff helping him to the back.
While the severity of his injury is still unknown, the timing is critical. At the start of the show, manager and official Dorian Roldán announced that Vikingo would challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship on May 30 at Noche de Los Grandes.
