Mike Sando with the in-your-face slam dunk.
Recently, former Denver Broncos’ offensive lineman Mark Schlereth posted on X that the Broncos have the best Mt. Rushmore of cornerbacks in NFL history. Yet, Sando, a longtime NFL reporter and a good friend of mine, came back a support of the Raiders’ history at the position and he came with Pro Football Hall of Fame receipts.
I think it’s clear that’s Sando’s list is far superior than Schlereth’s. Gold jackets don’t lie and we all now Lester Hayes deserves to be in Canton as well. On Denver’s list, only Bailey is currently n the Hall of Fame.
Plus, the four players on the Raiders’ list spent a combined 40 seasons with the franchise (Woodson did finish his career at safety), while the players on Denver’s list have spent 32 and counting with Patrick Surtain still playing.
So, it’s Sando for the win.
