UFC Vegas 111 went down last night (Sat., Nov. 8, 2025) in Las Vegas, Nevada, leaving several fighters feeling the post-fight blues. Among them was Randy Brown, who suffered a technical knockout loss at the hands
of Gabriel Bonfim in the main event (see it again here).
And Muslim Salikhov, who saw his three-fight win streak go up in smoke after he was starched by Uros Medic just 63 seconds into the fight (video replay here). But, which fighter is suffering from the worst post-fight hangover, now a few days removed from the show?
Coming into her fight against fellow Brazilian, Jacqueline Cavalcanti, Silva was hoping to snap her three-fight losing streak. Returning to the win column for the first time in a long time was pivotal, with her last win coming way back in Feb. 2023, when she defeat Lina Lansberg via submission. She did win her next fight against Holly Holm, but that was overturned to a “No Contest” after she tested positive for a banned substance.
Despite that, the promotion awarded her a shot at the vacant women’s Bantamweight title against Raquel Pennington, which she went on to lose via unanimous decision at UFC 297 in possibly the worst title fight ever (recap here). From there, her career just continued to spiral, suffering three straight defeats (including the loss to Cavalcanti last night).
Just like that, she went from a title challenger to a fighter competing on the undercard and on a four-fight losing streak that could lead to her getting cut. And that’s the fear she will have to live with in the coming weeks because the promotion has been thinning its roster any chance it gets. It doesn’t help that Silva doesn’t exactly have a big name that resonates with fans that could earn her a pass.
Silva’s downfall is a confusing one because she did look good early on in her UFC career, but in the blink of an eye, she turned into a completely different fighter. That said, her early wins weren’t against the toughest of foes and her losses started piling up when the competition started to get a bit fierce.
That said, the reason for her slump could be as simple as that.
As far as what could be next for her — assuming she doesn’t get cut from the roster — a fight against Nora Cornolle could be in order. Cornolle is coming off a loss against Karol Rosa, her second loss in last three fights. She is just 3-2 inside the Octagon, but is currently ranked No. 12. Its not the most exciting fight, but it’s one that Silva might have to take (and win) if she wants to remain with the promotion.
