Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are the stories as the Big Blue gets set to face their conference rivals, the Washington Commanders.

John Harbaugh: Giants are “just not good enough” at generating explosive runs | Pro Football Talk
The longest run from a Giants running back this season was a 13-yarder by Cam Skattebo. Giants coach John Harbaugh says that’s
not good enough. Harbaugh said today that the Giants’ running game needs to generate some explosive runs and make some big games, and so far it isn’t doing that.
“We’re just not good enough yet,” Harbaugh said. “Defenses are playing us pretty well. As we get better, we’ll probably have more longer runs, also if we make them pay more with play action, I think that’ll loosen them up a little probably. We’ve just got to keep getting better. The guys are working hard at it. We’re playing very hard. We’re trying to play very physically. All the elements are there, we just have to get better.”
What’s with Singletary? | New York Daily News
Najee Harris lost a fumble at the Cardinals’ 42-yard line with the Giants leading, 27-24, early in the fourth quarter. The Giants now have fumbled seven times in four games, although they’ve only lost two to the opposing defense (Tyrone Tracy Jr. in Week 1). Harbaugh looked like he was going to Harris (nine carries, 30 yards, two-point conversion) as Sunday’s second half finisher ahead of Cam Skattebo until Harris coughed it up. The veteran didn’t play another snap after that.
Skattebo played his first game without a fumble but gained only 3.2 yards per carry (20 rushes for 58 yards). He also has the most rush attempts in the NFL (68) without a 15-plus yard gain, per Ian Hartitz of RotoWire. Tracy had one carry for -1 yard. Veteran Devin Singletary has gone from 25 snaps in the opener to 15 in Week 2 to being inactive in Weeks 3 and 4. Harbaugh said Singletary wants to play and the team still values him, but the three active backs have defined roles in the gameplans right now. That could change.
2026 NFL offensive line rankings: Lions rise, Eagles fall without Lane Johnson | PFF
20. New York Giants (up 2). The Giants made a switch to their starting lineup in Week 4, with Bryan Hudson replacing John Michael Schmitz Jr. Hudson proceeded to deliver a really eye-opening performance, securing a 73.8 PFF grade and not allowing a single pressure from 37 pass-blocking snaps. Both tackles have been effective in pass protection, with Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor combining to allow 11 pressures from 133 pass-blocking snaps.
B/R 99: Ranking the 99 Best NFL Rookies After Week 4 | Bleacher Report
Linebackers Sonny Styles (1) and Arvell Reese (4), who were collegiate teammates and top-seven draft selections, have created instant impacts for the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, respectively. Styles has been particularly good using his length and athleticism in coverage, while creating multiple pressures when asked to blitz. Plus, his run fits are improving each week. Meanwhile, Reese’s versatility has translated to the pro game, with 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, four pass breakups and an interception during the Giants’ last two games.
This week’s backup QB?
Khalil Mack trade rumors: Landing spots for the Chargers pass rusher | SB Nation
New York Giants. We could see a Harbaugh brother trade. Mack is the type of player teams want to do right by and if the Chargers have to punt on this season and the Giants remain a playoff contender, Jim Harbaugh would probably feel good about sending Mack to his brother John’s team. With Brian Burns out, Mack would be a nice fit for New York.
The two words that don’t need to define this Giants season | New York Post
There is so much about these Giants to get everyone excited. The record (3-1) is fantastic. Their standing in the NFC East (alone in first place) is somewhat remarkable, considering what the Eagles and Cowboys are supposed to be and what the Giants most recently have been.
