The San Francisco 49ers brought back Viliami Fehoko Jr. to the practice squad. The pass rusher was promoted to the team’s active roster on September 26, appearing in one game before being waived on October 3.
To his credit, Fehoko played well in limited action against the Cardinals. Obviously, he did enough to warrant returning to the practice squad.
Fehoko joins Matthew Judon as the other edge rusher on the 49ers’ practice squad. Activating Mykel Williams from the PUP is in the cards if all goes well
this week.
On Monday, Kyle Shanahan said, “Mykel, hopefully, practice keeps going well, has a good week of practice and hopefully we can get him activated at the end of the week. But, it depends how the week goes.”
Ideally, Fehoko won’t be the only move the team makes this week along the defensive line. The 49ers will need all hands on deck, especially against a team that runs the ball as much as the Seattle Seahawks.
