With the 2026 NFL schedule now out, it got me wondering about where I’d want to go next for a road visit.
While it has become a luxury to attend Detroit Lions games locally, fans have found a way around expensive Ford Field tickets by going to away games that are somehow cheaper—even with travel and lodging prices considered. It’s a slightly depressing development in Lions fandom, but at the same time, it has also resulted in Detroiters traveling well to road games, giving the team a slight advantage
even when away from home.
If you’re one of the lucky fans who can afford a trip or two per year, you’ve likely gotten to know some of your favorite NFL venues. Personally, I’ve been to a handful of stadiums outside of Detroit, including U.S Bank in Minnesota, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
But there are several bucket-list stadiums I still haven’t been to. So today’s Question of the Day is:
Which NFL stadium do you want to visit the most?
My answer: While the new stadium in Buffalo is high on my list, I still need to take my pilgrimage to Lambeau.
The stadium itself may not be that impressive simply because of its age, but it’s hard not to be enthralled by its history and prestige. On top of that, I admire that it’s located essentially right in the midst of a neighborhood. And given the Packers are inarguably the Lions’ biggest rival, it only makes sense to get to know the enemy a little better. Keep your enemies closer, right?
And while I could certainly make all of the same arguments for Soldier Field in Chicago—another stadium I have inconceivably not attended yet—Lambeau has a much, much better reputation than Soldier Field.
