Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has become the latest to talk about Barcelona and Alessandro Bastoni in the aftermath of the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto win.
Bastoni has emerged as a top target for Barcelona this summer, but Inter chief Piero Ausilio has made it clear the club want him to stay.
Marotta says there is definitely some interest from Barcelona, however he says that Bastoni does not want to go anywhere this summer.
“I won’t deny there is interest from Barcelona, but it is still very superficial
and not concrete,” he told Radio Rai.
“As we’ve always said, a player leaves only if he expresses the desire to go. At the moment, he is our player, he wants to stay and we are happy with him.”
The Spanish press seem fairly confident that Barca will go for Bastoni this summer.
However, new reports in Italy are suggesting such a deal is “complicated” and the Catalans could look for a cheaper alternative, such as Evan Ndicka instead.
