Bayern Munich’s 2025/26 season has officially ended, with the team winning the DFB-Pokal final last weekend. As fans everywhere now pivot to cheering on their teams at the upcoming World Cup, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany had a few words for them.
“I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” he said. “Thank you for all the support from all around the world throughout the season.”
Kompany went on to mention the fans, including yours truly, who brave ungodly hours to watch Bayern play. “Your passion,
your energy, and the way you back this team every single week by staying up late or waking up early to support us, from far away sometimes, it means everything,” he said. “We feel your support in every training session, in every match, at home and away.”
The double-winning coach signed off by saying: “I can promise you one thing, we’re working every day to make you proud, and achieve the most, and we appreciate you guys. Mia san mia!”
Kompany needs to take at least some of the credit, though, because his team has definitely made it worth watching in the early hours of the morning. Compare that to the days of Thomas Tuchel, and the difference is quite literally night and day.
