Today marks the start of MLB’s 2026 international prospects signing period, and all 30 teams can now start adding top amateur talent from across the world to their systems. Verbal agreements have likely
been reached with plenty of them, so we’re likely to hear of numerous prospects signing today even though it’s the very first day.
The Rockies have a bonus pool of $8,034,900 — one of the largest pools in 2026. Additionally, this is the first year of their new front office, so it will be interesting to see what Paul DePodesta et al do during this time.
In 2025, they landed infielder Larry Suero, MLB Pipeline’s No. 34 prospect of the class, for $425,000 and shortstop Kamuel Villar for $750,000. Dominican outfielder Wandi Feliz was their biggest contract of the class at $850,000. Previous international signees have included Adael Amador, Angel Chivilli, Ezequiel Tovar and Antonio Senzatela. Stay tuned in here, and we’ll keep you updated with the 2026 class!
