The Wisconsin Badgers got some major news to kick off their 2028 class this week, as four-star Florida linebacker Cale Britt announced his commitment to the program.
Britt, a native of Orlando, Florida, had been one of the top linebackers in the country, accumulating 35 offers, including ones from Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, and Notre Dame, among others.
He had really seen his recruitment take off this summer with a ton of offers coming in. But Wisconsin had been in on him
for a while, having offered him back in April and maintaining the relationship since. Wisconsin was Britt’s third offer after Kansas State and Kansas, and it clearly stood out throughout the process.
Britt was back on campus earlier this summer, and now gives the Badgers a big-time prospect to look forward to at linebacker in the future. Of course, Wisconsin currently has Mason Posa and Cooper Catalano at the position, and they added three-star Keaton Wollan and three-star Nathan Jones in the 2027 class back in May.
This is a strong win early in the cycle for Luke Fickell, linebackers coach Tuf Borland, and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel, as the Badgers have continued to do well on the recruiting trail.
Wisconsin has already put itself in a great spot for several other 2028 targets, and it now has its first commit in the books with Cale Britt.
