Today we’re talking about something exciting for Mizzou Football’s home opener
Some exciting news came out yesterday for Mizzou football’s season opener against Arkansas Pine-Bluff. Mizzou Athletics announced that Sheryl Crow will sing the national anthem at Memorial Stadium. Crow, a Kennett, Mo., native, graduated from Missouri in 1987.

“My hope is that you learned something interesting about the dirty dozen the Tigers will be squaring off against this year and get a better idea of what Mizzou will be facing heading into Eli Drinkwitz’s seventh year at the helm.”
Some fantastic work by Nate Edwards in providing an in-depth look at the Tigers’ 12 opponents on the regular-season schedule. This schedule is tough but fun.
“The Tigers’ returning pass rushers – Smith, Kitchen, Hopkins and Dubbert – could be the most productive off the edge. Smith looks to be the leader of the group after a season that saw him log 16 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and four sacks playing in the JACK role that rotates all over the line.”
A lot to replace along the Tigers’ defensive line and defense as a whole. It will be exciting to see who emerges alongside Darris Smith out front.
“Can these new faces on the defensive side of the ball thrive at Mizzou under Corey Batoon? In our latest SBN reacts survey, we ask you this: Which defensive transfer will make the biggest impact for Mizzou Football this season?”
Which defensive transfer do you think will have the biggest impact?
