The San Francisco 49ers’ final injury report is out. The following players will not play this Sunday:
WR Christian Kirk
WR Deebo Samuel
WR Mike Evans
These players have a questionable designation:
S Siran Neal
CB Upton Stout
WR Demarcus Robinson
CB Nate Hobbs
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Kirk hurt his meniscus during Thursday’s practice. The team doesn’t know whether Kirk will need surgery. They are still trying to decide. Shanahan wouldn’t confirm whether Kirk suffered a tear. “I don’t know. It said meniscus.”
Shanahan said the 49ers will “most likely” activate Robinson from the injured reserve on Saturday, but they’re “not sure” about Hobbs.
Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa are off the injury report. Shanahan said Bosa “had a real good week. Excited to have him back.”
After an uncomfortable silence, the questions about Brandon Aiyuk poured in. Like Wednesday, Shanahan didn’t seem too interested in those. He said “no” when asked if he’d be involved in any team meeting involving Aiyuk.
When Shanahan was asked what would happen with Aiyuk, he said, “No clue. Your guess is as good as mine.” When asked what he would like to see happen, Shanahan said, “Could care less.”
