Four Jaguars players are a little lighter in the wallet after the NFL handed down fines from Week 8. Brenton Strange, Ruke Orhorhoro, Dennis Gardeck, and Branson Holmes were fined a combined $39,187 for penalties in last week’s massive win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Strange was fined $11,941 for unsportsmanlike conduct over a taunting call in the first quarter. It was pretty mild taunting, especially after such an effective stiff arm.
Orhorhoro has to pony up $11,941 for unnecessary roughness on a facemask penalty in the second quarter. Gardeck was fined $9,722 for unnecessary roughness on a blindside block in the fourth quarter, and Holmes took a $5,583 fine for unnecessary roughness in the second quarter with the use of a helmet.
These four players join a bunch of other Jags players who have been fined so far in the 2026 season:
- Travis Hunter $14,926 for unsportsmanlike conduct/removal of his helmet, Week 6
- Brian Thomas, $4,972 for unnecessary roughness away from the play, Week 5
- Jarrian Jones, $8,201 for unnecessary roughness/face mask in Week 4
- Travon Walker, $11,941 for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting in Week 4
