Real Madrid goalkeeper Fran González is closing in on a move to Sevilla, according to Ramón Álvarez de Mon.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest goalkeeping prospects to come through La Fábrica in recent years and has already made his senior debut for Real Madrid.
With Thibaut Courtois firmly established as the club’s No. 1 and Andriy Lunin providing experienced cover, opportunities for regular first-team football have been limited. A move to Sevilla would offer Fran the chance to accelerate
his development at the senior level.
Real Madrid are expected to retain some level of control over the goalkeeper’s future, as has become common practice with several academy departures in recent years, although the structure of any potential agreement has not yet been disclosed.
