Nine former Indiana football players have received invitations to participate in the annual NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, just up the road from Bloomington. Invitations
were announced on Wednesday.
Here’s the full list of former Hoosiers who received invitations.
- Quarterback Fernando Mendoza
- Running back Roman Hemby
- Wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr.
- Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt
- Tight end Riley Nowakowski
- Center Pat Coogan
- Linebacker Aiden Fisher
- Cornerback D’Angelo Ponds
- Safety Louis Moore
Other NFL Draft hopefuls from this past season who didn’t receive an invitation include running back Kaelon Black and edge rusher Mikail Kamara. They’ll still have an opportunity to drill in front of NFL personnel during Indiana’s pro day.
For a program that’s averaged a handful of combine invitees in the past, nine is a massive number of invites. It’s not a surprising one given Indiana’s successes in 2025, but it’s yet another sign of the program’s rise under Curt Cignetti, a sentiment that feels a bit tired now given there’s a national championship trophy in Indiana’s facility.
