The Atlanta Braves announced a couple of moves on Thursday’s off day that sent left-hander Aaron Bummer to the 60-day injured list. In addition, the club claimed infielder Brett Wisely off waivers from the San Francisco Giants before optioning him to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Though disappointing,
the Bummer move is not a surprise. The southpaw landed on the 15-day injured list at the end of August with left shoulder inflammation. Hopefully, he will recover well and bring us a good 2026.
As for Wisely, the 26-year-old has appeared in 22 major league games this season, eating innings at second base, third base, and shortstop.
