This may be a non-story, but Harry Kane and Bayern Munich always gave the impression that they would work out terms on a new contract at the end of the season. Now, with the DFB-Pokal final won and no more competitive games left, the end of the season is officially here.
So we should expect a new contract soon, right? Not quite. Here is an interesting update from the man himself:
Harry Kane asked about signing a new contract at Bayern.
“It’s not the time to talk about that now, but there’s no panic. We wanted to hold conversations until the end of the season and we’ve got a World Cup still to play. But everyone knows how much I enjoy it here. That situation is calm.”
Speaking to @SkySportDE.
Of course, this means that Kane wants to talk about the contract after the World Cup. It’s fine, he still has a year left on his contract, but it is a little frustrating for fans. Everyone wants him tied down with an extension as soon as possible.
