Bay FC announced the signing of forward Alex Pfeiffer to a three-year contract through the 2028 season.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join Bay FC and begin this next chapter of my career,” said Pfeiffer.
“The vision of the club, the environment they’re building and the support around the players all stood out to me. I’m focused on continuing to grow and doing everything I can to help the team win in 2026 and beyond.”
Pfeiffer is a highly touted prospect in the American system having been a part of the USYNT at the U-15, U-16 and U-17 levels and signed a professional contract at just 15 years old with Kansas City Current. She made her professional debut on March 16, 2024, at 16 years, 111 days and scored a goal against the Portland Thorns.
The forward only played 10 matches that season because of a season ending knee injury that ended her rookie campaign. She returned in July 2025, and played five NWSL regular season matches and appeared in the team’s first round loss against eventual NWSL Champions, Gotham FC.
Pfeiffer mutually agreed to terminate her contract with the Current at the end of the 2025 season to pursue other opportunities despite being under contract through the 2026 season.
“We’re thrilled to welcome (Pfeiffer) to the team,” said head coach Emma Coates. “She’s an exciting young player who plays with real confidence. She has already proven herself at this level. I believe she has the quality to make a real impact now and will only continue to grow and develop within our environment.”
Bay FC may not be done adding offensive firepower to their front line as they have been linked to the USWNT star, Catarina Macario, who will be out of contract with Chelsea in the summer of 2026.
