The Michigan Wolverines are 2-0 in the Big Ten after a 24-10 win at home against Wisconsin over the weekend. Next up is a trip to USC before playing another West Coast team in the Washington Huskies at the Big House.
This will be the first time Washington has played at the Big House since the 2021 season, when it was still a member of the Pac-12.
The Big Ten has announced the start times and TV designations for all the games in Week 8, and the Wolverines and Huskies will officially kickoff at noon ET and be aired on FOX as a part of the network’s Big Noon Kickoff.
Washington is coming off a huge comeback win at Maryland this past weekend. The Huskies were down 20-0 before storming back to win, 24-20. The Huskies are led by former Michigan assistant coach Jedd Fisch, and they have one of the more potent offenses in the Big Ten with quarterback Demond Williams Jr. leading the way. He has completed 73.3 percent of his passes this season for 1,226 yards, eight touchdowns and just one interception. He also has 246 yards and two touchdowns.
Another major focal point of Washington’s offense is running back Jonah Coleman. He has 474 rushing yards through five games and a whopping 10 touchdowns, so Wink Martindale and company will need to focus on him as well, especially when the Huskies get into the red zone.
Michigan is 9-6 all-time against Washington, with the most recent game being last year in Seattle, a 27-17 loss. The Wolverines are 4-1 all-time against the Huskies at the Big House, with the lone loss coming all the way back in 1984.
