The irony is strong with this one. Despite all the hand-wringing about the defense and the full-on renovation on that side of the ball, the offensive side of the ball provides us with our top position group worry for 2026.
We recently asked Dallas Cowboys fans what position group worried you the most for 2026. Four answers were available – edge rusher, linebacker, cornerback and offensive tackle. The results were one of the more contested polls we’ve ever had. Three options finished within 10 percentage
points of each other.
While linebacker came in second with 29%, and cornerback came in third with 25%, it was offensive tackle that took first with 35%. Turns out people think keeping Dak Prescott upright is central to the Cowboys offensive plans.
Left tackle Tyler Guyton and right tackle Terence Steele are both under the microscope in 2026. Both had problematic seasons in 2025 with Prescott bailing them out of some bad protection. Guyton’s position has been opened up to a camp battle by word of head coach Brian Schottenheimer, although that may be partly motivation for Guyton. Still, when a coach says your starting position is an open battle, that’s not exactly confidence.
Tell us in the comments which option you voted for and if you agree with the poll.
