Top rumor of the day: Brock Lesnar’s return at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia
Even though Brock Lesnar officially announced his retirement this week on The Pat McAfee Show, WrestleVotes Radio says there are “high-ranking officials” in WWE who think there will be plans for The Beast at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia next year.
The belief is that Lesnar will return to wrestle again on that card if he gets a huge payday from the government of Saudi Arabia.
And even if he is truly done in the ring, Brock will probably be back in WWE that weekend to be the headliner for the Hall of Fame Class of 2027.
For whatever it’s worth, Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer claims it “was always the plan” for Brock to retire after SummerSlam in Minnesota. However, the word “retire” doesn’t really mean anything in pro wrestling, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise at all if he decides to wrestle again in WWE.

- According to Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez, “WWE is claiming that it is not going to be Roman Reigns and El Grande [Americano]” fighting over the world title on Raw in Mexico City next month.
- Meltzer says WWE’s mindset is that they will be doing a favor to whichever Mexican wrestler loses to Roman on that episode of Raw.
- Alvarez indicates there are “rumblings” that Rhea Ripley will officially vacate the WWE women’s championship following knee surgery, because she’s probably “gonna be gone a long, long time.”
- WrestleVotes mentioned that WWE had serious discussions about going with a two night format for the 2027 Royal Rumble event in Phoenix. The current belief is that it will remain a one night event, but this might be the final year that’s the case.
- Votes says the word backstage in WWE is that Roxanne Perez is “maybe a potential push” for some time down the line.
- The outlet was also told by a source close to the situation that when Trick Williams unveiled his furry custom U.S. title on SmackDown, there was “no expectation internally” that he would be losing it less than one month later.
- Per Fightful Select, a source with direct knowledge says SummerSlam 2029 will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is likely part of WWE’s deal to bring Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania PLEs to Lucas Oil Stadium.
