It’s been a while since former Chicago Stars’ Sarah Luebbert set foot on the field after her injury last season. However, americanistas everywhere await her comeback eagerly.
That’s why they rejoiced when they learned her comeback is closer than ever. After she joined training with the rest of the players in September, Club América’s coach Ángel Villacampa confirmed in press conference that the Missouri Locomotive will make her comeback against Atlas in week 16.
Unfortunately, she’ll miss the games against the Regio teams, Rayadas and Tigres, but for sure they don’t want to rush into her comeback and have the winger ready to go for the playoffs.
The joy was doubled for the fans when they also learned this week that Luebbert is very close to renewing with the club from Coapa after rejecting offers from Toluca, Monterrey and some American clubs, according to reports.
So far the club hasn’t confirmed her renewal but insiders say the contract is for the next two years.
