I will be rooting for the Rams Sunday night, but I don’t know who I am rooting for on Saturday night when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks. It’s a big time NFC West matchup with the teams splitting their regular season series 1-1, and with Saturday’s game determining whose season will come to its end.
There’s plenty on line for all the remaining teams.
I suppose once I start watching Saturday’s game perhaps, I’ll root for 0ne team over the other, but I don’t know, I am more worried
about the Rams winning on Sunday than I am concerned about which teams win on Saturday.
If the 49ers did manage to beat Seattle, and if the Rams win over the Chicago Bears, then they would host SF in the NFC Championship, but those are a couple of BIG ifs. So, we’ll see.
If you can, enjoy today’s games and get ready for what should be a wild Sunday night one way or the other.

49ers vs. Seahawks: Three must-know storylines for Saturday’s Divisional Round game (nfl.com)
“They met at the start and end of the 2025 regular season. As division rivals with a memorable postseason history, they know each other well. Only one can advance to the doorstep of Super Bowl LX, though, and the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers will take the field on Saturday with the same goal in mind: survive and advance.
Way back in Week 1, San Francisco needed heroics from Brock Purdy and then-unknown tight end Jake Tonges to take down the Seahawks in Seattle, setting the stage for a season-long standings battle in the NFC West that concluded with a thud — a punchless showing in a 13-3 loss to Seattle in Week 18 — for the 49ers. Seattle rebounded from the kickoff weekend heartbreak and embarked on a 17-week journey that saw the Seahawks lose just twice more, win the NFC West and secure the conference’s top seed and first-round bye.“
Rams vs. Bears: Three must-know storylines for Sunday’s Divisional Round game (nfl.com)
“The Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams will meet in the postseason on Sunday for the first time since the 1985 NFC Championship in which Mike Ditka’s team rolled, 24-0, en route to their Super Bowl XX victory.
Fun fact: Neither Sean McVay nor Ben Johnson was alive to see that playoff romp.
It’s an entirely different NFL this time around, with McVay and Johnson epitomizing the offensive evolution. McVay and Johnson are two of three head coaches all-time to take over a team ranked last in total offense and lead them to the playoffs in their first season as head coach (Giants’ Jim Fassel in 1997).
The 2025 Bears and Rams are led by offenses that can get hot in a hiccup. Each club ranked inside the top 10 in scoring and total offense during the regular season.“
Bears-Rams: Keys to a Chicago victory (windycitygridiron)
“The matchups get increasingly harder each round. The Rams are a dangerous team, with a veteran quarterback in the MVP conversation. He has plenty of offensive weapons at his disposal and their defense is stout, too.
It’s going to be a heck of a game.
Sam: The Bears have to establish the run early here and get off to a fast start. The Rams are too talented to let get a big lead. Chicago needs to pressure Matt Stafford, but that’s easier said than done when they can only rush four. The secondary will have its hands full with Puka Nakua and Davante Adams. Offense, score early and often and keep the pressure on Los Angeles.“
