We are still getting leaks on the NFL schedule ahead of Thursday’s full release and Tuesday, we got our first one for the Cincinnati Bengals. For the first time since 2019, the Bengals will be playing in an international game.
The Bengals will head to Madrid, Spain in Week 9 of this season to take on the Atlanta Falcons. This is considered a road game for Cincinnati, so they will have
their full slate of home games this season.
Before last season, Joe Burrow expressed his desire to play in Madrid after there was a rumor of the Bengals and Miami Dolphins playing there, but that ultimately wasn’t true. Now, Burrow gets his wish and fans back in the United States will watch the Bengals in a 9:30am EST kickoff window.
This is the second time the Bengals have played an international game in Zac Taylor’s tenure. In 2019, they played the Los Angeles Rams and Wembly Stadium in London, England. They left London with a loss, so hopefully they have a better result as they head overseas for the first time in the Joe Burrow era.
Will you make the trip to Madrid? Let us know in the comments!
