The question, this week, is whether the Jays are finished spending or not. And more specifically whether they still might spend money on Bo Bichette or Kyle Tucker (or both).
The Jays have a fair bit of money coming off the books after this season, so they may figure why not go big?
If the Jays were to sign Bo, Ernie Clement would be without a full time job. If they sign Tucker, Addison Barger would be out of a full time job. But then, the team would be better.
It doesn’t seem that Rogers cares about being over the tax barrier. Maybe they won’t care about being massively over?
