The Buffalo Bills declared three players out ahead of their Week Sixteen tilt with the Cleveland Browns. One of those players, rookie offensive tackle Chase Lundt, has been a staple of this piece during
the season, as he has been a healthy scratch in nearly every game this season. However, Lundt was placed on injured reserve on Friday, which means that he is off the 53-man roster and no longer subject to being listed as inactive at game time.
Given that the Bills called up two players from the practice squad and activated another from injured reserve to fill their 53-man roster, the team still needed to declare seven players inactive for today’s game. We knew two of those players on Friday, but now we know all of Buffalo’s inactive players for today.
Here are the seven inactive players for Buffalo as they take on Cleveland.

WR Keon Coleman
With returner/wideout Mecole Hardman Jr. back from injured reserve, we knew at least one receiver would be a healthy scratch. Coleman is out today—it’s not discipline-related, per Cameron Wolfe, but it is a coaching decision instead. Coleman has been a massive disappointment this season.
WR Gabe Davis
For the second straight week, the veteran is a healthy scratch. Buffalo will go with Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Brandin Cooks, Tyrell Shavers, and Mecole Hardman Jr. at wideout this week.
T Tylan Grable
The second-year man came off injured reserve a few weeks ago after missing the start of the season thanks to a concussion suffered over the summer. He’s a healthy scratch again, however, as Alec Anderson and Ryan Van Demark have settled in as the team’s swing tackles.
DT Jordan Phillips
The veteran and resident crowd fire-upper is out thanks to an ankle injury he suffered last week. Buffalo will carry four active defensive tackles, as Phidarian Mathis will dress for the game. T.J. Sanders, Deone Walker, and DaQuan Jones are the other interior defensive linemen active today.
DT Larry Ogunjobi
Interesting. One of Buffalo’s two big free-agent signings along the defensive line is a healthy scratch this week, as the team will go short-handed up front. This does give T.J. Sanders the chance to play his actual position, though, rather than moonlighting as a defensive end in the name of on-field reps.
DB Darnell Savage
With Cam Lewis questionable due to a hamstring injury, I thought it was possible that Savage would play this week. However, Lewis is good to go, so Savage is a healthy scratch once again.
K Matt Prater
This we knew, as the veteran injured his quad in last week’s 35-31 victory over the New England Patriots. Michael Badgley was elevated from the practice squad, and he’ll handle kicking duties for the day.
