As y’all may know, my family started a no-kill animal shelter, Animal Hope, in Fort Worth a number of years ago. The shelter has a particular emphasis on working with animals that need extra medical or other care before they are ready to find their forever home.
Below you can see one of the stories involving Misha, one of the dogs that came to Animal Hope years ago after being rescued from the meat markets in Korea, and what happened when she found her forever home:
Animal Hope’s
biggest fundraising period is for North Texas Giving Day, which runs through September 18. If you are so inclined, we would be grateful for any contribution you might want to make — even a few dollars helps the organization care for and place the dogs and cats they rescue and work with.
And if you donate at least $50 and are an LSB reader, you can choose to name a dog or cat at the shelter.* Just send an email to benjamin@animalhope.org with proof of payment, let them know you are an LSB reader, and let them know whether it is a dog or a cat you want to name and what name you have selected.
* Don’t pick anything obscene, NSFW, or otherwise inappropriate, please. If you do you’ll have to choose a different name.
