The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting the Buffalo Bills on Sunday as they try to break a two-game losing streak. Here are some developments to watch this week for the Raiders heading into the game:
Offensive line changes?
The Raiders’ offensive line has struggled in recent weeks and this week, coach Klint Kubiak did say the team would consider making changes. A likely place to watch is at left guard where Spencer Burford struggled badly Sunday at New England. Caleb Rogers or Trey Zuhn (if he is healthy
after missing Week 5 with a knee injury) could be candidates to enter the starting lineup.
Cornerback battle:
Darien Porter retook his primary outside cornerback spot last week when he played much more than rookie Zeke Masses. The fifth-round pick took Porter’s job early in the season. He flashed early, but has struggled recently. While this is a fluid situstion, signs point to Porter getting the chance to make significant snaps against the fierce Bills’ passing game.
Wide receiver health:
The undermanned Raiders’ wide receiver room may get a boost this week. Jalen Nailor is expected to practice this week after missing Week with a concussion and Dont’e Thornton could possibly be moved to the active roster from the injured reserve.
