After a cold winter heated up by our Tiger basketball squads (men’s and women’s!), we are back for Clemson baseball. As we get excited to get the season going, let’s take a look at who is manning the outfield for the 2026 Tigers.
#99 Nate Savoie
Nate is a portal addition to Clemson that can fit a few different sports. The Sophomore out of Loyola Marymount can play catcher and outfield, but there’s a good chance you’ll see him this weekend as the DH. In 2025 for the Lions, he was a first team freshman
All American outfielder and a second team freshman All American catcher. After Tiger reserve catcher Steele Burd hit the portal (yes, that is his real name, and it hurt me to see him leave. But, he’s as free as a Burd now, and this Burd you cannot can’t change) Savoie’s ability to catch could end up being part of his game he brings to the Tigers. And considering he is the number 45 prospect overall for the 2027 draft, and the number 6 ACC prospect for 2027, that’s saying something because be will be a factor for Clemson in many ways.
#4 Tryston McCladdie
A guy who can play infield and outfield, the Junior from Harlem, Georgia has found himself contributing in all kinds of ways during his first two seasons in Tiger Town. You may not see him in the outfield a lot because he will most likely be an infield starter, but McCladdie is a guy with a lot of tools that will be able to give the Tigers a lot of different looks throughout the season.
#1 Bryce Clavon
I’m excited to see this guy. Bryce has enormous shoes to fill as he will most likely take over Cam Cannarella’s job in center, but the transfer from UGA should prove to be able to handle himself out there. The #25 2027 prospect in the ACC played in 27 games for the Dawgs and hit .333. Here’s hoping that Bryce can make losing Cam sting a little less.
#3 Ty Dalley
This is my guy. As Georgia native and a former resident of Macon I’m biased, but man, an outfielder transferring to Clemson from Mercer is very much right up my alley. The Mercer Bears have been an underrated team in recent years, and Dalley was an absolute stud for them. Ty’s already etched his name in Clemson lore when he lit his bat on fire and launched a nuke in the Fall game against the Savannah Bananas. Expect him to start in right field.
#5 Jack Crighton
I have talked about a LOT of transfers today. So, let’s talk about the veteran. The Senior from Rochester Hills, Michigan has been a solid player for the Tigers, with a career batting average of .286 and a slugging percentage of .363. He probably will start the season in left field, but given his performance in 2024 as the starting first baseman down the home stretch of the season, don’t be shocked if you see Crighton move around. This veteran should have a big impact in many ways in 2026.
#2 Briggs Sullivan
A Lowcountry freshman out of Mt. Pleasant’s Oceanside Academy, was the number 11 player in South Carolina and the number 2 shortstop by Perfect Game. Briggs will be fighting to find his way into the starting lineup with a crowded outfield.
#26 Jackson Moore
Last Clemson outfielder from Hartsville was Cam Cannarella. Let’s see if Jackson can continue the tradition of the Red Foxes becoming good Tigers.
