The injury gods have not exactly taken it easy on Bayern Munich of late.
The Bavarians has been felled by minor knows and major tears, but — somehow — they just keep pushing through.
On Sunday, Bayern Munich phenom Lennart Karl hit the pitch to do some running in what could be the first outdoor session of his rehab per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):
This is especially good news in
light of the injury news on Serge Gnabry.
On Saturday, Bayern Munich announced that Gnabry had sustained a torn adductor. Subsequent reports indicated that he was out for the season. Now, Sky Germany (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Gnabry will also miss the World Cup:
That is a tough blow for Gnabry and the German national team alike. The 30-year-old figured to be in strong contention for a starting role. His absence, however, could free up a spot for Karl or even former Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané, who many considered to be on the bubble of the roster.
