
Cooper Ingle had a double and a walk as he begins to climb out of the hole he’s been in since being promoted to Triple-A and Trevor Stephan had a scoreless inning with two strikeouts in Columbus’s loss on Wednesday. Travis Bazzana isn’t hitting yet, but he did take two more walks on Thursday night as George Valera had an RBI hit and Kahlil Watson had a hit, a walk and sacrifice fly to back Austin Peterson’s eight innings of scoreless, four-hit, two-strikeout ball.

On Wednesday, Alfonsin Rosario and Wuilfredo Antunez both had two hits, with Antunez’s including a home run, and Ralphy Velazquez continued his torrid stretch with a hit and two walks. Yorman Gomez had his first rocky outing in Double-A, but relievers Steven Perez and Matt Jahec were dominant in four and a third innings of relief. Antunez had another two hits Thursday night and Josh Hartle was solid, going six innings, allowing six hits, two runs, zero walks and striking out five.
Nick Mitchell went 3 for 4 with two triples on Wednesday, while Tugboat Wilkinson went four and two-thirds scoreless, striking out seven. Tyler Naquin did NOT have a good time in relief, though, giving up four. On Thursday, Mitchell and Jaison Chourio continued recent surges, each accumulating two hits.
Nolan Schubert had two hits including a home run to help Lynchburg win on Wednesday, backing a bit of a shaky debut for Ryan Prager but an excellent four, scoreless innings of relief for Logan McGuire. On Thursday. Joey Oakie pitched five hitless innings, striking out 11 and walking four, as Schubert added another homer, amid a two-hit, two-walk game, and Juneiker Caceres went 2 for 4 with a walk.
