It’s a rather transparent admission that the Cowboys already have some pieces in place, but there’s still a lot of work to do to bring in players who can help the defense reach its goals. This could set the table for what many are already anticipating, and that’s the Cowboys will use the top draft resources on defense, as well as being a little more assertive in free agency next month.

Parker stated, “I think you have to be physically and mentally tough. Focusing on development, he mentioned, “So now it is about just working from the neck up in terms of how the position needs to be played.” Parker is seeking cerebral defenders, which will help
The new coach didn’t discount athleticism. Clearly, he needs fast and strong guys to run around and make plays. But the chances of going from point A to B increase significantly when he has the right guys who can process correctly and are players whose brain works.
