I don’t know what Tennessee Titans general manager John Harbaugh is doing right now, but he should stop doing whatever it is and get John Harbaugh on the phone. It was just announced that the Baltimore
Ravens have fired Harbaugh. He immediately becomes the top coaching candidate available.
There had been rumblings for the last few weeks that there was a split coming between Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson. Their relationship had deteriorated behind the scenes. The Ravens’ loss should be the Titans’ gain here. For once, the Titans should get a former Raven instead of it being the other way around.
Harbaugh has been the head coach in Baltimore since 2008. In that time, he has compiled a 180-113 record. His teams made the postseason 12 times in 18 seasons, including a Super Bowl win in 2012.
There has been a lot made of this being a weak cycle for head coaching candidates. That all changes with Harbaugh on the market. Borgonzi and the Titans should do whatever it takes to get him to be their next head coach.
