Sometimes, the words of a teammate can be extremely encouraging and other times, well, they can tear a player down.
When those words come from Harry Kane, though, you know they are coming from a place of support and are genuine. When training on Monday, Kane, Tom Bischof, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Josip Stanišić were getting loose and Bischof showed some of the skill he has been known to have and the Englishman let him know:
This might be random, but it is another good example of the great environment that Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has created at Säbener Straße. Kane, a worldwide superstar, is just as likely to throw around compliments to young players as anyone on the coaching staff.
Kompany also had a “family day” at training on Sunday as well. Clearly, keeping the boys happy and balancing the demand of being a professional with some fun is a key for the Belgian manager:
Sometimes, those little things matter while the team in is in the midst of a tough stretch of play. With Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen on deck this week, the Bavarians need all of the good vibes they can get.
