Women’s Soccer (7-4-2)
The women’s soccer team defeated Rutgers 2-1 in its only match of the week. Kaitlyn MacBean scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to push the Nittany Lions past the Scarlet Knights. Amelia White
scored in the first half to give Penn State a lead entering halftime. Penn State outshot Rutgers 22-9, including 10-5 in shots on goal.
Penn State will host Washington tonight (7pm on Big Ten Plus) and Oregon on Sunday (1pm on Big Ten Plus).
Men’s Soccer (5-4-2)
The men’s soccer team ran its winning streak to three games with a 2-1 road win over Michigan State and a 7-1 home win over Kings College.
Van Danielson and Malick Daouda scored one goal each in Penn State’s key 2-1 win over Michigan State. The Nittany Lions won on the road for the first time in the 2025 season. The Spartans had previously beaten No. 3 Indiana and No. 5 Michigan in consecutive games.
Ben Madore scored his first career hat trick as Penn State ran away from King’s College in a 7-1 victory, Penn State’s final non-conference game of the regular season.
Penn State will travel to UCLA for a game on Friday (10pm on Big Ten Plus).
Women’s Volleyball (8-6)
The women’s volleyball team was embarrassed by Nebraska in a 3-0 loss before rebounding to beat Maryland 3-2.
Penn State hit -0.114 against Nebraska, one of the worst hitting percentages in a single match in program history. The Cornhuskers won the first set 25-6. It was a very humiliating performance for the Nittany Lions on national television and shattered any remaining hope that the team could rebound this season.
Kennedy Martin had a team-high 21 kills and 4 aces in Penn State’s road win over Maryland. Penn State won the first two sets before Maryland answered with wins in sets three and four. The Nittany Lions dominated the final set 15-5.
Penn State will host Wisconsin on Friday (7pm on BTN) and Northwestern on Saturday (8pm on Big Ten Plus).
Field Hockey (5-6)
The field hockey team’s losing streak stretched to three games with a 2-1 loss to Michigan and a 2-0 loss to Ohio State.
Aubrey Semler scored the only goal of the game for Penn State against Michigan in the third quarter to pull the Nittany Lions within one. Penn State could not finish the comeback against the Wolverines. In the following game, Ohio State completely shut down Penn State’s offense, outshooting the Nittany Lions 10-3 and holding the Lions scoreless.
Penn State will face Northwestern on the road tomorrow (5pm).
