First off, need to point out a quick error on my part – on question 2, I am talking about the softball team!
Apologies for the confusion, but I’m pretty sure answering that one will be simpler if you know who I’m talking about. The Huskers came within a run of the Women’s College
World Series last season and appear primed for another run towards Oklahoma City bringing back most of last season’s starters and plugging a big hole in the rotation. How far do you think they will go?
And with portal shopping appearing all but over (while there is only one point in the year to opt in, players can be signed at any time after entering), the roster is close to set. Multiple true freshmen made their way onto the field last season – which of these do you think will make the biggest impact in 2026.
And if I left anyone out whom you think belongs, let me know in the comments – such as Mekhi Nelson who should have been on the list. Ugh, I’m on a roll. We’ll consider him the top write-in candidate and he will commented on in the results regardless of the final numbers.
