The Green Bay Packers will get the New York Giants on a short week, after they play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. As far as timing goes, though, the Packers might end up catching
the Giants at the right time.
Not only are the Giants coming off four straight losses following their Thursday Night Football win over the Eagles, but they might also be down their starting quarterback in first-round rookie Jaxson Dart. In the team’s loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Dart left the game with a concussion.
In relief of Dart, who was 19 of 29 for 242 yards and a 91.5 passer rating against the Bears, backup Russell Wilson came into the game and completed 3 of 7 passes for 45 yards and a passer rating of 64.6, not including the two sacks he took. This is the third big blow the Giants’ offense has faced this season, as star receiver Malik Nabers is out with an ACL tear and running back Cam Skattebo is also out for the year with a dislocated ankle.
The year, Wilson is now 66 of 112 (58.9 percent) for 786 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions and a passer rating of 78.2. He’s also taken eight sacks and fumbled three times. For perspective, the only teams going into Week 10 who had a season-long passer rating under Wilson’s 2025 performance were the Tennessee Titans (1-8) and the Cleveland Browns (2-7).
Beyond Dart and Wilson, the Giants also have the option of playing former first overall pick Jameis Winston, who has served as a third-stringer for most of 2025.
Previously, the Packers have faced the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Flacco and the Arizona Cardinals’ Jacoby Brissett and beaten both of those backup quarterbacks this year. With that being said, Flacco did beat the Packers when he was the preferred starter for the Cleveland Browns, before Flacco was traded to Cincinnati as an injury replacement following Joe Burrow’s turf toe issue.
