We’re two-thirds of the way through the NFL season, and a day before Rivalry Week started, several former Michigan Wolverines showed out for their respective teams. Here is your Pro Blue recap of the best
performances from Week 12, starting with a sack that sealed a win.
Aidan Hutchinson sacks Jameis Winston to seal Lions win
Michigan fans know Aidan Hutchinson steps up when his team needs him most. On fourth down in overtime with Jameis Winston driving the New York Giants down the field, Hutchinson sacked him to seal the win for the Detroit Lions.
“This is my comeback season,” Hutchinson said to Detroit reporters after the game. “Having moments like that, it really is so amazing, just a blessing.”
Hutchinson posted a single-game season high with six total tackles to go along with two tackles for loss and six quarterback hits, including that sack.
In that same game, Lions center Graham Glasgow helped Detroit rush for 237 yards and two rushing touchdowns. The unit, however, allowed three sacks.
Colston Loveland and Zach Charbonnet score touchdowns in wins for their teams
Two Wolverines scored key touchdowns for wins for their respective squads on Sunday. In a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland caught four passes for 49 yards and this score.
This was Loveland’s third touchdown of the season, and the rookie is developing chemistry with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. In 10 games this season, Loveland has racked up 28 catches for 378 yards, making an impact as he gets settled into his role.
Fantasy football players with Kenneth Walker on their teams are well aware Zach Charbonnet is Seattle’s goal line running back back. He scored in a win over the Tennessee Titans to go along with six carries for 35 yards.
In that same game, Seahawks tight end AJ Barner caught two passes for 18 yards, and Seahawks defensive lineman Mike Morris logged a quarterback hit.
