On Friday, a story emerged that João Palhinha was headed to Aston Villa for a medical exam, but Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg says that will not be the case.
In fact, Plettenberg is reporting that Palhinha will be at preseason camp with Bayern Munich on Sunday and will not be seeing a medical staff in England:

Despite reports, Palhinha is not expected to be at Aston Villa today. There is still no agreement
with any club at this stage.
The current plan is for Palhinha to travel back to Munich on Sunday for his start of Bayern’s pre-season training. However, Bayern pushing for a sale. @SkySportDE
With no concrete outlook for playing time in Bavaria, Palhinha is the perfect sale candidate. The problem is that Bayern Munich does not just want to give the midfielder away.
When it comes down to it, though, Palhinha will have to agree to go somewhere and it might just come down to whether he wants to go home to Portugal or make more money in England.
