Even with two days notice, the big news out of WWE’s “Breaking News Special Announcement” still took some time to process. It didn’t matter how many credible reports we read about a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia, to believe it we had to see the logo, and hear Triple H say the words while standing next to Turki Al-Sheikh… and in front of Undertaker & Liv Morgan.
But the “WrestleMania 43 to Riyadh” info wasn’t the only thing we learned today (Sept. 12). They also gave us a specific date for next year’s
Royal Rumble in the same Saudi city, which was announced back in January of this year.
The next Royal Rumble will take place on Sat., Jan. 31, 2026. No word on time, but there’s no reason to assume it won’t follow the pattern set by other shows in WWE’s eight-year-old-and-counting relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. That would have it taking place in prime time locally, which means an early start time in the United States.
That date meets WWE’s usual requirement for the start of the road to WrestleMania: no (American) football. Te weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1 is the off-week between the NFL Conference Championships and the Super Bowl.
