I’m mostly interested in if Drake Baldwin gets to start today.

Mick Abel annihilated the Phillies, going six innings while
striking out 1 and allowing 1 walk and 3 hits. At 73 pitches, he probably could’ve kept going, but why risk it at this point? Byron Buxton, Josh Outman, and Ryan Fitzgerald homered to back him up, but uh, they were supposed to lose. But they won. They’re still too many games “ahead” of the Braves for it to matter, though.
Athletics 2, Royals 4

I have Luis Morales in one of my fantasy leagues. His stock took off this season, but there’s some concern about him getting lefties out and his control. He’s young. It’s to be expected. Mike Yazstremski, Vinnie Pasquatino, and Bobby Witt all did damage, and Morales walked 2 while using over 100 pitched to not quite make it to 5 innings. Michael Wacha, on the other hand, was better over 6 innings, and the Athletics kept pace with the Braves.
Marlins 0, Mets 5

In this case, I’m mostly annoyed that the Mets are still in third place for the Wild Card. Clay Holmes the 6 shutout innings, though he walked 3 and struck out only two. Eury Perez struck out a lot more hitters (11), but he gave up 3 runs. Pete Alonso doubled, homered, and scored in another inning, and while it didn’t seem like the Mets really wanted him back, they’re probably happy now.
Orioles 1, Yankees 6

Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton were back at it again, and IT’S ANNOYING, FELLAS. Do you not have anything better to do? You, too, Cam Schlitter. Meanwhile, Tomoyuki Sugano continued following the script he’s been following this season by being pretty not good – 4.1 innings, 4 ER, and 3 K. The Orioles and Braves remained in a dead heat to the last game of the season.
Atlanta, Baltimore, and Sacramento all lost, so the the team’s remain very close into the last day of the season. Minnesota remains a game ahead of Pittsburgh, so a Braves loss could be doubly helpful today.
