Rutgers Women’s Basketball continues to add to its new-look staff.
New head coach Gary Redus II added two new members as the university announced the hiring of De’Mauri Flournoy (Director of Recruiting Operations) and Ryan Cabiles (Strength and Conditioning).
Flournoy, who was a sharpshooter in the SEC during her playing career, comes to Rutgers after one year at Tennessee. With the Volunteers, she worked with internal departments and external partners to help organize athletic events.
As a player,
Flournoy shot 40.4% from three-point range as a senior, which is the sixth-highest single-season percentage in program history at Georgia. She served on the SEC Leadership Council off the court in her final season. Now, she will come to Rutgers in an advanced role.
Cabiles will join Rutgers’ staff after 18 years in the same role at Syracuse. During his tenure, Syracuse made three Final Four appearances and saw 16 NBA and WNBA draft picks.
Cabiles began his career at UNLV as a student athletic trainer from 1996-98. He went onto work with the Portland Trail Blazers as well along with being the head strength coach of the Portland Fire in 2000-02. Most recently, Cabiles was the Summer League strength coach for the Houston Rockets in 2025.
