The Bundesliga 2026/27 season is underway, and the biggest shocker so far, is that Ballon d’Or contender Harry Kane isn’t scoring much… yet.
Bayern Munich are clearly in a transition period, trying out new tactics and ideas and this has unfortunately impacted Harry Kane’s tally. The English talisman who was expected to lead the race to the Torjägerkanone, is nowhere near the top of the list. This season, Kane is playing deeper than ever this has impacted his tally. However, nothing was ever truly
decided on Matchday 3. The numbers will serve later, to see how the season began and how it progressed.
Let us look at who is on top so far. Surprisingly, there are ZERO Bayern players in the top 7. The top three all have three goals and an assist, and the four after them have three goals and zero assists.
Per @iMiaSanMia, the top three are Eintracht Frankfurt’s Younes Ebnoutalib, SC Freiburg’s Igor Matanović and Bayer Leverkusen veteran Patrik Schick. Ebnoutalib made his debut for Frankfurt against Union Berlin, and scored a hat-trick. Matanović has scored in two games, and so has Schick.
An interesting member on this list is actually former Bayern youngster Maurice Krattenmacher. The youngster has bagged three goals since his move to SV Elversberg — one against Bayern and a brace against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Krattenmacher might genuinely be the most dangerous substitute in the Bundesliga.
As far as this season for Bayern is concerned, all the goal scorers have one apiece. Aleksander Pavlović, Dayot Upamecano, Harry Kane, Lennart Karl, Luis Díaz, and Michael Olise are the current set of goalscorers. This list will only see more players joining and Kane rising the ranks as the season goes on.
