It’s early in the season, but the Los Angeles Rams maybe, kinda, sorta just saved their season by beating the Philadelphia Eagles and rising to 2-2 instead of falling to 1-3.
Look, it’s a 17-game season, the Rams maybe, kinda, sorta could’ve come back from a 1-3 reord, but 2-2 is so much better. It’s gives them some breathing room.
Now, there’s a lot of games to go, the Rams could falter over the next few weeks, but this win, for now, puts the Rams firmly back in the playoff conversation in a real
way.
It’s a week-to-week league, the Rams can be happy for this week, but they need to keep winning. That’s the trick.
Happy victory Monday. Monday night game in Week 5 incoming.
2026 NFL season, Week 4: What We Learned from Sunday’s games (nfl.clom)
“Rams finally finish. Los Angeles thoroughly outplayed the banged-up Eagles at a soggy Linc on Sunday, but found itself down 10 points midway through the fourth quarter. Matthew Stafford interceptions, special teams snafus and fourth-down follies were to blame. But one week after blowing multiple leads against the Broncos, the Rams took control of the proceedings in eastern Pennsylvania and changed the narrative. After L.A. stuffed Philly at the 2-yard line as the Eagles attempted to go up three scores, Stafford led the Rams on their best drive of the day, finding Puka Nacua (who is absolutely back from injury, finishing with nine catches for 125 yards) and Tyler Higbee on the boundary to get L.A. into Philly territory. An Eagles late hit penalty and Kyren Williams TD later, the Rams were within striking distance. L.A. then stopped Philadelphia on their 11th straight third down of the day and got the ball back. The recipe was the same: Nacua and Higbee into Eagles territory, then Williams (147 total yards on 26 touches) to salt away the drive. The box score will say L.A. should have run away with this one (414 yards to 172), and perhaps Sean McVay’s side should have. But the mettle shown against a franchise that has had their number has to be rewarding for the Rams, as they avoid a 1-3 start and keep pace with the rival 49ers and Seahawks in the NFC West. This team can finish — at times, in spite of itself.“
The Los Angeles Rams saved their season with a last-minute comeback (nbcnews)
“After having blown a 16-0 lead to the Denver Broncos a week ago, the Los Angeles Rams — a preseason Super Bowl favorite — looked well on their way to another dispiriting loss Sunday.
The Rams were trailing 20-10 and had the ball 98 yards away from the end zone with less than eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter on a day they had already committed several mistakes against an opponent they had not beaten since 2020. Staring a 1-3 record in the face, Los Angeles instead stepped up and saved its season.“
Watch: Rams coaches and Eagles fans flip each other off at end of game (ramswire)
“The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a dramatic comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, taking down a team that has had their number for years. Sean McVay was fired up after the win, as were his assistant coaches up in the booth.
A video was taken in the stands at the end of the game showing Rams coaches and Eagles fans flipping each other off. Eagles fans could be seen shouting at the Rams’ coaches, who allegedly were banging on the window after Kyren Williams’ go-ahead touchdown.
A beer was then thrown by a fan at the glass where the Rams’ coaches were sitting.“
Notable injuries, news from Sunday’s Week 4 games: Saquon Barkley (hamstring), Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) exit (nfl.com)
“Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring) was injured in the first quarter and did not return to Sunday’s win over the Raiders. Head coach Andy Reid described Rice’s injury as a tweak. Wide receiver Tyquan Thornton‘s ankle injury “doesn’t look good,” according to Reid, who said that Thornton would travel back to Kansas City with the team. Thornton was carted off in the fourth quarter and ruled out shortly after.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion) was ruled out of Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) and offensive tackle Joe Alt (neck) were ruled out of Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks. Offensive tackle Rashawn Slater (ankle) and cornerback Donte Jackson (hamstring) did not return.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Konata Mumpfield (shoulder) did not return to Sunday’s win over Philadelphia.“
Rams Beat Eagles, Box Score Stats, Highlights for Stafford, Hurts, Saquon, Puka, Top Players (bleacherreport)
“Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams are magicians.
Or the Philadelphia Eagles snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Depends on your perspective.
Los Angeles overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a dramatic 24-20 victory over the Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Kyren Williams scored the two fourth-quarter touchdowns for the victors, while the Rams defense didn’t allow Jalen Hurts and Co. to score a single point in the second half.“
Game Recap: Rams rally for 24-20 road win over Eagles in Philadelphia (therams.com)
“Trailing 20-17 with 3:59 to go in the fourth quarter after a four-yard touchdown run by running back Kyren Williams, the Rams defense had to dig in after kicker Harrison Mevis received a kickoff out of bounds penalty, spotting the ball at the Eagles’ own 40-yard line. Still, the Rams defense got the stop and forced the Eagles (2-2) to punt, putting the ball back in the hands of quarterback Matthew Stafford with just under three minutes remaining.
Stafford then marched the Rams downfield on a go-ahead scoring drive punctuated by a seven-yard touchdown run by Williams to give the Rams the lead 24-20 with 1:10 remaining. Outside linebacker Byron Young‘s two sacks on the final drive clinched the victory for Los Angeles.
Williams finished with 16 carries for 80 yards and two touchdowns, plus 10 catches for 67 yards in the victory.“
Eagles vs. Rams: Philadelphia blows a ten-point lead in Week 4 loss (eagleswire)
“The Philadelphia Eagles squandered a 10-point halftime lead and fell to the Los Angeles Rams, 24-20, on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia failed to convert any of its 12 third-down opportunities and did not score after halftime. Jalen Hurts threw two touchdown passes to Darius Cooper, but the Eagles finished with just 172 total yards. Kyren Williams scored twice in the fourth quarter as Los Angeles completed its comeback, dropping Philadelphia to 2-2.
Andrew Mukuba and Cooper DeJean recorded the Eagles’ first two takeaways of the season, but those early defensive contributions were not enough. Saquon Barkley was ruled out with a hamstring injury, and Jonathan Greenard left with an ankle injury and did not return. Philadelphia now heads to London to face Jacksonville on Oct. 11, with an expanding injury list and major questions about its protection and second-half offense. Eagles Wire brought you live updates, scores, and highlights from the game. Check out the key moments below.“

Eagles-Rams Week 4 report card: Beat-up Birds let double-digit lead – and history – slip away (phillyvoice)
“The Eagles were threatening to become the first team in NFL history to win a game despite failing to convert at least one of 12 third-down attempts before predictably imploding in the fourth as the their injury situation became untenable.
Had the Eagles been able to punch in a touchdown at the LA 6 with 8:57 to play, they would’ve have won the game. But they were stopped on three straight tries, including a bold 4th-and-2 pass, and then watched the Rams score go on two TD drives to win.“
NFL says it is looking into an official cursing at Cardinals TE Trey McBride (nfl.com)
“Line judge Jeff Seeman was caught on camera cursing at McBride, which drew the ire of union leader JC Tretter, a retired offensive lineman who played eight seasons.
“This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable,” Tretter, the NFL Players Association’s executive director, said on social media along with a video clip of the incident. “Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.”
The NFL Referees Association did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
The interaction took place with just under five minutes left after officials did not call a pass interference or illegal contact penalty on New York’s Dru Phillips, who made contact with McBride before the ball arrived from Jacoby Brissett on a third-and-2 play.“
Comment of the Day:
“Williams was out of his mind this game. Nacua made his return felt. The Rams are still nowhere near full strength. Hopefully we can get Donald and Ferguson and Parkinson back for Buffalo…although another guy who made play after play was Higbee, our forgotten veteran TE.” -JeffinBranson
